Republicans claim to be many things.
Republicans claims to be patriots, faithful to God and the Constitution, and in favor of less intrusive government.
These are all wonderful ideals.
The unfortunate reality reveals a much different story.
Patriotism is in the Eye of the Beholder
Patriotism, the act of devotion or love of one’s country, stirs action.
The Republican party members are often identified by their warped use of the flag. While literally wrapping themselves in Old Glory , tattooing, bumper stickers, various flag variations to prove alliances to the police force, face masks, boxer shorts — you name it, the flag is on it. Ironically, the same folks clutching their pearls when ANTIFA mistreats the flag ignores the rules of honoring the flag themselves.
