America Has a Labor Shortage—So Why Aren’t Immigrants Welcome?

I keep seeing stories about businesses closing because of a lack of workers. Aren’t immigrants the solution?

My midwestern city needs workers. Every restaurant, factory, and retailer is looking for employees willing to work for minimum wages.

It’s no secret that the United States has a labor shortage. Businesses are struggling to find enough workers to fill their open positions, with some even closing down due to a lack of employees.

The question is: why aren’t immigrants welcome to solve this issue?

Even at a time when the country needs more workers, the current government continues to push its anti-immigrant agenda, making it increasingly difficult for them to enter the country. But is their sentiment towards immigrants misguided?
