Anti-Semitism: The One Form of Racism the GOP Sees

The Republican Party asserts that the media and Democrats are fabricating racism. Yet they are outraged by their perception of anti-Semitic discrimination.

The Republican Party has a long history of not only downplaying the significance of discrimination based on race but also denying its very existence.

As with all other things, though, the GOP is demonstrating an acute sense of hypocrisy.

They continue to deny the existence of racism in many forms, including white privilege and systemic issues hindering minority communities; they have no problem condemning anti-Semitism, which is treating an individual with malice due to their Jewish faith and heritage.

The GOP on Racism

Over the years, the Republican Party has systemically denied the existence of institutional racism, instead choosing to promote policies designed to subversively oppress people of color. This is not an opinion; this is factual.

Examples of such policies include:

  • Voter ID laws: Proponents argue these laws are necessary to prevent voter fraud, while critics argue they disproportionately affect minority voters, making it harder…
