Biblical Women — God’s other creation

And why women are made for more than bake sales

Women of the church?

For the women out there that grew up in the Church — that’s church as in the entirety of God’s people not the building— the role of most women was clear. We created more followers and we cooked.

Where did this come from? Certainly this is not the way God intended life to be? Right?

Notice what God tells us about the relationship between man and woman. In Genesis 1: 24 we are told that, “ That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” (NIV translation). Man and woman are created as ONE. They are united in flesh as one.

Notice what God does not tell us. He does not say that the woman was made as a servant to man, Notice that he does not say that woman has one defined role while the male has other duties.

Did you notice that?

The state of perfection, as the Garden of Eden

Eden — as the Perfect Order until Sin Enters

In this state of perfection, in the garden before The Fall, God created perfection.
