There’s been a lot of talk lately about raising the qualifying age for these important programs, which would effectively mean benefits cuts for millions of Americans.

Let’s look at this proposal and see that it’s nothing more than a benefit cut in disguise.

The recent proposal to raise the qualifying age of Medicare and SSI is being disingenuously marketed by those in favor of it as a reform.

In reality, it is nothing more than a benefit cut, aimed at reducing the burden on taxpayers at the expense of vulnerable citizens who rely on these programs for their medical care.
