Clarence Thomas is widely known for his controversial Supreme Court nomination hearings in 1991 and becoming the second African-American to serve on the nation’s highest court.
However, the legacy of Thomas — a long-time conservative justice who has been accused of sexual harassment — must be pushed further into focus by holding him accountable with an official investigation.
More than thirty years since his confirmation, there are still many unanswered questions surrounding Thomas’s alleged misconduct and potential influence over U.S. law — it is time that we demand justice and clarity from our federal government officials because no one should be exempt from facing consequences for any wrongdoing they may have committed.
