Dear Cis Gender Folks, No One is Banning You

I see your willful, intentional hatred toward the LGBTQ community, especially my trans friends. Yet, what legislation is being put forward to ban the cis community?

The conservative evangelicals would have the world believe they were being attacked.

They claim their religious freedom is being violated and circumvented. This could not be further from the truth; no one is banning you from your beliefs or asking you to change them.

What we are saying, however, is that our rights as LGBTQ people should be respected and protected under the law, regardless of personal beliefs.

Everyone has the right to worship how they choose.

We ask only for equal treatment of LGBTQ people with respect to their basic rights and protections.

We must stand together against discrimination in all its forms, including that which is rooted in religious beliefs or doctrines.
