In recent years, there have been many high-profile cases of police misconduct.
From the murder of unarmed Black man Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri to the killings of Oscar Grant and Eric Garner — all at the hands of police officers — it’s clear that something is wrong with our current system.
The question is, what can be done to fix it? Some say that we need to reform police training and oversight, while others believe that the solution lies in changing the way we think about law enforcement entirely.
