Federal Sales Tax — Newest GOP Tax Scam on the Middle Class
The tone deaf Republican congress is marching forward on the newest scam to once again cripple the working class.
The latest GOP tax scam is a federal sales tax.
This new tax would be imposed on every purchase made in the United States, regardless of whether it’s online or in-person. The effect would be regressive, hitting low- and middle-income Americans the hardest. Once again, the Republican Party is trying to balance the budget on the backs of working people. We can’t let them get away with it.
