We all know the feeling of staring at our phone screens until well past our bedtime, only to wake up feeling like we were hit by a truck in the morning.

Gadget-free evenings!

Trust the Science

First and foremost, let’s talk about the science behind it all.

Exposure to blue light, which is emitted by electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, can disrupt our body’s natural production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. This means that if we’re scrolling through Instagram before bed, our bodies think it’s still daytime, and we have a harder time falling asleep. Not to mention, the constant stimulation from your phone can leave you feeling wired and unable to relax.

So, how can we combat this?

Early to bed, maybe?

The key is to establish a relaxing bedtime routine that helps your body wind down and prepare for sleep.
