Getting out of bed is the hardest thing I do all day.
Anxiety and stress tell me my day is going to be hard. They tell me I have huge tasks ahead of me. Can they just take a day off?
Bam!
My brain turns on like a firecracker.
Instantly, every task in front of me looms as a threat.
My heart starts to race, and my mind is flooded with all the things I need to do. It’s overwhelming and paralyzing. Every small task feels like a mountain.
But I refuse to let anxiety and stress dictate my day. I know that it’s just my brain trying to protect me, but sometimes it goes into overdrive. So instead of giving in, I take a deep breath and remind myself that I am capable of handling whatever comes my way.
I start by breaking down my tasks into smaller, more manageable pieces. Instead of seeing them as one big obstacle, I focus on one step at a time. And with each step completed, I feel a sense of accomplishment and motivation to keep going.
It also helps to have a positive mindset. Instead of thinking, “I have to do this," I reframe it as “I get to do this.”. It’s a small shift, but it changes my perspective and makes the task feel less daunting.
