It feels like it has been years since the infamous “Hunter Biden laptop saga” first began and it still refuses to die.

For months, the right-wing media has spun wild tales of corruption, infidelity, and international espionage. But after all this time, we are left with exactly what we started with — nothing.

No evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of either Joe or Hunter Biden has emerged, despite countless Republican attempts to manufacture it.

The Backstory So Far

It all began in October 2020 when Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani presented a laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden to Fox News.

Giuliani claimed that the computer contained emails that could prove Joe Biden was corruptly involved in his son’s business dealings. Of course, no such evidence ever materialized. In fact, the only thing Giuliani managed to show was that Hunter had poor computer security habits and hadn’t updated his virus protection software in years — not exactly a crime worthy of an international manhunt.
