I learned something new yesterday. CIS Folks — We Have a Flag Too!

I have been a self-proclaimed ally for years. It was only yesterday that I learned there is a flag representing this.

I’ll be honest. Sometimes I struggle with how to be a good ally.

I feel like the biggest fan girl, and it feels pretty awkward.

Yesterday, I stumbled across something that changed my perspective.

It wasn’t just the sight of a black and white flag with a rainbow-striped triangle in the middle of it, but what it represents: CIS allies.

The best way to show support for trans rights is to become informed about gender politics and spread awareness. That’s where the flag comes in.

It’s a reminder of my commitment to understanding and supporting trans rights, no matter how awkward or uncomfortable I may feel. It’s an affirmation that I am not alone in this fight and that together we can make a difference.
