I Lost 100 Pounds, and Now I Have No Idea How I Look

Losing 100 pounds is a monumental achievement. It’s a milestone that I worked tirelessly towards, battling through countless workouts, dietary changes, and moments of self-doubt.

But now, having reached this significant goal, I’m faced with a new, unexpected challenge: I have no idea how I look.

The Struggle with Body Image

For years, I saw myself in a certain way.

My reflection in the mirror was familiar, even if it wasn’t what I wanted to see. My heavier body became a part of my identity, a constant in a world of change.

After shedding so much weight, my physical appearance has transformed dramatically, but the way I perceive myself hasn’t caught up.

When I look in the mirror, sometimes I still see the person I was before.

Other times, I don’t recognize the person staring back at me.
