In the wake of yet another mass shooting in America, the gun control debate has once again taken center stage.

But while politicians, activists, and the media all try to point fingers and offer solutions, there’s one factor that has been largely overlooked: the role of media coverage in perpetuating gun violence.

Yes, you read that right.

I believe the real key to stopping gun violence is not more laws or regulations, but rather, a decrease in the sensationalized coverage that often glamourizes mass shootings and inspires copycat attacks.
