What would your 14 year old self think of the choices you make today?

This thought-provoking question can be a great reminder to stay true to yourself.

As adults, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, but taking a step back and remembering who we used to be can help us make more conscious decisions.

Living Authentically
When we are young, we are often unencumbered by societal pressures and expectations; our views of ourselves and the world around us are often untainted by outside influence.

We develop opinions based on our own experiences — we know what we enjoy and what we don’t enjoy — and it’s easier for us to stay true to our authentic selves. This doesn’t change as we become older, but it can become more difficult to remember this as external pressures mount.

Living like our teenage selves are watching helps us remain conscious of our decisions and encourages us to live authentically — to pursue activities that bring us joy instead of things that society tells us we should do or feel.
