In recent years, a worrying trend has emerged among certain factions of the American populace: the resurgence of the Confederacy flag and rhetoric advocating for a new civil war.

This phenomenon is most notably observed among some supporters of the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement. To those of us who value historical accuracy and lessons learned from the past, this is not only misguided and naive but also starkly undereducated.
