My Cat Does not Understand Social Distancing
In our haste to flatten the curve, a significant population has been forgotten.
The Cats.
The new world of personal space to protect our health, an important population has been missed. We have learned to protect not only our own health, but the health of our seniors, the health of those in long term care facilities, the health of our co-workers, and the health of our caregivers. But who is forgotten? Who did we forget to loop in?
Yes, the Cats.
While some of your feline friends are aloof and really feel inconvenienced by the constant presence of their humans, others are not.
The curious ones are thrilled to have their humans nearby. Continually. 24/7.
It occurred to me this morning, as my cat woke me with a nudge in the face and greeting with absolutely no regard to social distancing that she is the sole living thing that is allowed this contact without fear.
Although I love my cat with all my heart, this is presenting some humorous situations that are becoming part of the new normal.
