In recent years, the topic of immigration and border control has become a hot-button issue in the United States. With political rhetoric often painting immigrants as criminals and drug traffickers, it’s important to examine the truth behind these claims.

One particular aspect that has received a lot of attention is the southern border with Mexico.

Politicians and media outlets constantly repeat the narrative that “they only send their worst” across this border, meaning criminals and drug mules.

But is this true?

The reality is that while there may be some individuals who fit into these categories, they are by no means representative of all immigrants crossing the southern border.
