Reminds me of the time I referred to God as 'she' when talking with my pastor (he was originally from Texas) and I thought he was going to pass out.

He proceeded to lecture me on the fact that God is genderless, yet had no explanation why referring to God as feminine was blasphemy if this is indeed the case.

I was from then forward labeled as a 'feminist-troublemaker' by the elders.
