Tariffs, Lies, and Empty Promises: Why Trump’s Trade Policies Are Still Screwing Over the Working Class in 2025

It’s 2025, and here we go again.

The Trump Train is charging full speed into another round of tough-talk tariffs, waving the same tattered flag of “economic nationalism.” But if you peel back the stars and stripes, you’ll find the same broken promises, inflated grocery bills, and billionaire bailouts — and this time, the wreckage is even worse.

Trump’s trade war 2.0 isn’t saving American jobs or standing up to China. It’s screwing over the very people he claims to fight for: working-class Americans. You know — the folks still trying to afford rent, fix the truck, and keep dinner on the table without overdrawing their debit card.
