The America I grew up loving and taking for granted no longer exists.

A country where we all agree racism is bad.

A country where education is a desirable attribute.

A country where dignity and honor were valued.

During the 2016 campaign cycle, I felt the nation would wake up in the nick of time to avoid disaster. I was wrong.
