The willfully blinded flock allowed him to threaten me with eternal damnation, yet my fellow church members watched motionless

Admittedly, I have been struggling with my faith for some time.

The death of my only sibling and both parents within a three year period will do that to a person. But, it is more.

In the past decade, I have found the messaging in the church to be increasingly leaning into the conservative political area, leaning hard. Prior to this, I honestly could not have detected my pastor’s political ideology. In the current state, the pastor’s politics is not only crystal clear, but blasted from the pulpit and should any person disagree, they are blasted.

The psychological gaslighting is devastating.

Why Am I Being Attacked?

The selectivity of the church is rather revealing.

The church I attended taught all sins were sins. Period.

There was no prioritized, no ranking. Unless…

the sin were related to the choice of whom to love and bodily autonomy

Talk about non-heterosexual relations and there is all kind of squirming in the pews and eye-rolling.
