The Freedom Caucus is killing the US — and They Don’t Care
The ironically self-proclaimed Freedom Caucus, consisting of the most extreme, far-right faction, would rather burn down our country than attempt to do serious work.
They have blocked any bill, no matter how much it helps the American people — from health care reform to infrastructure spending.
The Freedom Caucus doesn’t care what results they get as long as they can maintain their extremist ideals.
This group is largely responsible for the current state of gridlock and dysfunction in Congress.
They use their power to block any legislation that does not go far enough in their eyes, often even bills they support. This has resulted in a complete failure to pass meaningful legislation over the past few years, with Congress unable to tackle important problems like immigration reform, tax reform, gun control, and climate change.
The American people deserve better than this.
Congress needs to come together and find common ground on important issues.
