The Real Domestic Threat? It’s Not Who the GOP Wants You to Fear

Calling out the political deflection tactics that endanger democracy

For years, the GOP has been relentlessly pushing a fear-driven narrative: that “the radical left,” immigrants, drag queens, and anyone opposing white Christian nationalism are out to destroy American values. With such conviction, they’ve told this story so often that the country stopped asking the obvious: What’s the real agenda here?

The truth?

The actual danger doesn’t come from a multiracial protest demanding justice. It’s not a library event or a tired teacher calling for decent pay.

The deadliest and most persistent threat to U.S. domestic security today is white nationalist extremism — coordinated, armed, and emboldened. You wouldn’t know it if you relied solely on conservative media or Republican soundbites.
