Top 3 Red Flags to Watch from Your Church
Preaching politics from the pulpit taints the Christian Evangelical faith, a temptation many pastors simply cannot resisit
Choosing the right church is an important decision. Unfortunately, it can also be a difficult one.
With so many churches out there claiming to be the “right” one, it can be hard to tell which ones are legitimate and which ones are not. It is important to look for red flags when choosing a church.
Knowing what these red flags are can help you make the best decision for you and your family. Here are my top 3 red flags that are deal breakers:
1. Focused more on money than on Jesus.
One of the biggest red flags to watch out for in a church is if it seems to be more focused on money than on Jesus.
This can be evidenced in a number of ways, such as if the church is always asking for money or if it seems to spend more money on things like fancy buildings and expensive cars than on helping those in need. Churches primarily focused on making money, are not a place for truly following Jesus’ teachings.
Churches should never put too much emphasis on money or donations. They should always focus first on providing spiritual guidance and fellowship rather than just asking for money from their congregation.
