Seniors: Facing Poverty and Instability
For most seniors, Social Security is more than just extra income—it's their primary or sole source of support. The Social Security Administration reports that nearly 9 out of 10 people aged 65 and older rely on these benefits. For 21% of married couples and 45% of single seniors, Social Security makes up 90% or more of their income.
