The state of Texas is in a period of unrest and decline.

With its divisive political landscape, high levels of poverty, a healthcare system that continues to fail citizens, and an education system among the very worst in the US, there is much to be concerned about.

In addition to the economic distress, racial tensions are at an all-time high in Texas. In recent years, there have been numerous cases of police brutality targeting African Americans and other minority communities.

These incidents serve as a reminder of the state’s systemic racism, which has been entrenched in its history for centuries.
