Republicans love to rant about border security. Yet, why aren’t they trying to fix it?

It’s a common refrain in American politics: the GOP’s passionate speeches on border security and the imminent threats they associate with uncontrolled immigration.

But if the issue is as critical as they claim, why is there a visible lack of effort to effectively resolve it?

This inaction is a deliberate strategy, one that benefits the Republican agenda in several ways.

Exploiting Fear for Political Gain

First and foremost, the GOP has long utilized the fear of illegal immigration as a powerful tool to mobilize their base.

By painting a picture of a nation under siege, they create a perceived crisis that rallies support and distracts from other pressing issues. This strategy involves portraying immigrants, especially those from Latin America, as the root cause of various societal problems, ranging from unemployment to crime.

However, a closer examination reveals a different story.
