Working-Class White Men, Quit Your Damn Whining: Your Days of Entitlement Are Over

For decades, working-class white men have seen themselves as the backbone of America. They’ve built an identity around hard work, patriotism, and, often, a sense of entitlement that their role as breadwinners should grant them certain privileges.

In recent years, as the world has changed rapidly around them, many of these men seem stuck in a cycle of complaining and resistance, clinging to outdated ideas that no longer serve them — or anyone else.

It’s time for a reality check.

The days of entitlement are over.

If you’re a working-class white man, it’s time to stop whining, recognize that you no longer have a monopoly on opportunity or power, and — more importantly — evolve.
