Yes! Dying churches (like the one I left after 25+ years) recently claim to want to change and grow - until they have to change and grow. The Lutheran church I just left has since dropped any pretense to be anything other than a far right conservative echo chamber. Sadly, the dying congregation is losing a 125 year old tradition of worship.
