Yes to this!

I would further claim that this is a practice in not only megachurches, but in all evangelical Christian churches. Members of these churches get excited when a person appears downtrodden, mentally vulnerable, or otherwise looking like they are down to their last chance. They know these unfortunate folks will try anything to change their circumstances and they are easy prey.
