You Cannot Call Border Crossings an Emergency if Solutions Can Wait until the Election

The Republican Party has just lost its ace. They are saying the quiet part out loud: the so-called ‘crisis’ at the southern border can wait months, if not a year, to be addressed.

You Cannot Call Border Crossings an Emergency if Solutions Can Wait until the Election

The Republican Party has been vocal about the situation at the southern border, labeling it a dire emergency that threatens the fabric of the nation.

This narrative has been pushed with vigor, painting a picture of chaos and disorder that demands immediate and decisive action. However, a revealing contradiction has come to light, undercutting this narrative and exposing a glaring inconsistency in their stance. It appears that the urgency of this ‘crisis’ is not as pressing as previously claimed, given that proposed solutions are being shelved until after the upcoming election.

This delay raises a critical question: Can we truly classify border crossings as an emergency if the proposed remedies can be postponed for political convenience?
