You say social media treats us as toddlers. Let me suggest that social media has coddled our inner child and made us co-dependent toddlers. We receive positive reinforcement for being childishly whiny, irrationally self-centered by way of likes/shares from equally childish followers. Temper tantrums by leaders serve as role models.

Logical sharing of ideas is gone.

Rational, critical thinking has passed.

My source of optimism is in the hope that maturation must arrive at some point. Right?
